This is another article from our Menorca Beaches blog , where we invite you to discover unique spots on the island. Today we travel north to a comfortable, family-friendly beach surrounded by amenities: Son Parc , also known as Arenal de Son Saura del Norte.

Where is Son Parc?

Located between Arenal d'en Castell and Cala Pudent, this beach is one of the most accessible in northern Menorca. It's just 25 minutes from Mahón by car and very close to towns like Es Mercadal and Fornells.

How to get there?

  • By car: From Mahón, take the Me-7 road and then the turnoff to Son Parc. There is free parking very close to the beach.
  • By bus: In summer you can get there on line 41 from Mahón, Fornells and Es Mercadal.

Activities in Son Parc

In addition to sunbathing and enjoying the calm, shallow waters, ideal for children, at this beach you will find:

  • Rental of umbrellas, hammocks, kayaks, and scooters.
  • A protected natural environment with dunes and wooden walkways.
  • A golf course: the only one in all of Menorca!
  • Hiking along the Camí de Cavalls (section 4), with routes to Cala Tirant.
  • Gentle walks to Cala Pudent, just 15 minutes along the sea.

Fancy exploring the coast from the sea? You can rent a boat from the nearby port of Addaia with Menorca Nord Sea Experience and sail to Son Parc.

Where to eat in Son Parc?

After a good swim, nothing beats a hearty meal. Here are three recommendations:

  • Es Pop: a beachside snack bar serving local produce and original dishes. Ideal for a relaxed meal with a view.
  • Restaurant Pinomar: Mediterranean cuisine, fresh fish, and a family atmosphere with a terrace.
  • Saborea Bistro: a small, modern restaurant with a signature touch and a varied menu. Perfect for a relaxing dinner.

What's near Son Parc?

  • Arenal d'en Castell: neighboring beach with turquoise waters.
  • Fornells: a fishing village ideal for eating lobster or practicing water sports.
  • Cala Pudent: virgin cove accessible on foot from Son Parc.
  • Es Mercadal: perfect for a gastronomic or cultural stop.
